A Middle Island man was arrested Tuesday and charged with robbing three TD Banks since April, Suffolk police said.

Robert Lewis, 37, is charged with robbing banks located at 2822 Middle County Rd. in Lake Grove on May 6, 621 Lake Ave. in St. James on May 1, and 188 Main St. in Sayville on April 3.

In the first robbery, the suspect appeared to have concealed the lower half of his face with a surgical mask before demanding cash from the teller, police said.

Lewis is expected to be arraigned on Thursday at First District Court in Central Islip.
