Cops investigating car break-ins in Suffolk
Police are searching for the person — or persons — who broke into at least five vehicles last weekend in Miller Place and Mount Sinai.
Suffolk County police said Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are investigating the break-ins, which occurred Saturday and Sunday between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. Police are asking anyone with information about the incidents to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. Tipsters also can contact Crime Stoppers using a mobile app that can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or by visiting www.P3Tips.com.
All calls, texts and emails will remain confidential, police said, and tipsters are eligible for a cash reward for any information leading to an arrest, police said.
