Mineola Ultra gas station robbed by masked man, police say
Nassau County police said they are looking for a masked man who robbed a Mineola gas station on Sunday night.
The suspect entered the Ultra station at 70 E. Jericho Tpke. shortly before 9:30 p.m. and indicated to the clerk with hand gestures that he had a gun in his pocket, police said in a Tuesday news release.
The suspect then opened the cash register and removed an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
He also took some packs of cigarettes from a shelf before driving off east on Jericho Turnpike in a dark-colored sport utility vehicle.
No one was injured, police said.
The suspect also wore a black, hooded jacket, black gloves, bluejeans and white sneakers, police said.
