Police have released photos of a male and female wanted for questioning in connection with the theft of a car in January from a driveway in Mastic.

Suffolk County police did not identify the source of the surveillance photos or disclose if the pair were witnesses or suspects.

The car, a gray 2002 Mitsubishi Galant, was stolen Jan. 3 after police said it was left in the Patchogue Avenue driveway, engine running.

Police asked anyone with information about the pair being sought — or the theft — to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477. All calls will remain confidential and callers are eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 for any information leading to an arrest in the case. Tipsters can also text SCPD with a message to CRIMES (274637) or email police attipsubmit.com.
