Nassau County police have arrested and charged a Wantagh man in connection with a January hit-and-run in South Farmingdale.

Christopher Rosselli, 24, was charged Tuesday with leaving the scene of an incident resulting in death, according to a police news release.

The Jan. 28 crash killed Mohamed Elormi, 24, of Astoria, Queens, police said.

In a news release at the time, police said a silver pickup struck Elormi at 3:40 a.m. on Merrits Road in South Farmingdale. Elormi was found lying in the road with severe head trauma. Police allege the pickup left the scene without stopping.

Paramedics took Elormi to a hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

Rosselli is set to be arraigned Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead.

Information about whether he had retained an attorney was not available late Tuesday.
