N. Babylon credit union robbed
A man robbed a credit union Friday afternoon in North Babylon, Suffolk County police said.
A teller handed over the cash after the man showed a threatening note at the Bethpage Federal Credit Union branch on Deer Park Avenue, police said.
Police said he "indicated" he had a gun. Police said the robber was a stocky man who was wearing a light-colored baseball hat, a gray T-shirt and blue jeans.
Police did not say how he signaled he had a gun, nor did they say if he ever showed the gun, whether a dye pack was included with the cash, how much he made off with, whether anyone was injured or other details about the crime.
He got the money and fled on foot.
