Uniondale gold dealer raided, 3 arrested, Nassau cops say

An investigation into illegal drug activity ended with a raid at a Uniondale gold dealing business and the arrests of three people, Nassau police said Friday.

The narcotics and vice squad started an “extensive” investigation after getting information about drug activity on Front Street and armed with a search warrant, detectives and the county’s asset forfeiture unit raided Wall Street Gold and Silver at 1093 Front St. Thursday night, police said.

Police said they seized a rifle flash suppressor / silencer and a Smith & Wesson M & P rifle.

Nelson U. Larios, 32, of North Central Avenue in Woodmere, was charged with four counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance, four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of criminal possession of a weapon, all felonies. He was arraigned Friday in First District Court in Hempstead and held on a $425,000 bail.

Michael A. Ebinger, 30, of Guy Lombardo Avenue in Freeport, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned Friday in First District Court in Hempstead and held on a $5,000 bail.

Both Larios and Ebinger were due back in court Tuesday.

Alexandria Hassell, 22, of Lincoln Avenue in Mineola, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and released on an appearance ticket. She is due back in court on Sept. 27.

Attorneys for Larios and Ebinger could not be reached Friday night. It was unclear if Hassell had an attorney. Wall Street Gold and Silver did not have a working phone number.

Police said summonses also were issued for operating an illegal secondhand dealer/pawnshop, which violate Hempstead Town ordinances. Police did not say to whom the summonses were issued, and did not release other details about the arrests or the case.
