Nassau cops: Deliveryman robbed of cash, food in Roosevelt
Two knife-wielding men robbed a man delivering Chinese food in Roosevelt Sunday night, Nassau County police said.
The victim was making a delivery on Harts Avenue near Spring Street at about 10:30 p.m. when two men with knives approached him and demanded money.
Police said the delivery man fled from his car, running east on Harts Avenue.
One of the bandits caught him and took an unspecified amount of cash. Both suspects then ran west on Harts Avenue with the money and the food, police said.
No injuries were reported.
Both suspects were in their early 20s and wore dark-colored hooded sweatshirts, police said.
