Police say an armed, man wearing a dark grey hooded nylon jacket, ski mask and black gloves, robbed a New Hyde Park bank Thursday morning.

The perpetrator, described as a man in his 20s, demanded cash from a teller at TD Bank at 110 Hillside Avenue around 9:12 a.m.

Police say he was holding a silver handgun and after receiving an undisclosed amount of money, fled on foot, heading south on North 2nd Ave.

Five employees and six customers were present during the robbery and no one was hurt.

Police were on the scene within minutes, a spokesman from the department said.

They had no leads in the case by early Thursday evening and are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
