Nassau police: Drug arrest during fatal OD probe

A Queens man was arrested on drug charges after he was found in possession of heroin Monday night in Levittown, Nassau County police said.
The arrest was made during an investigation into a fatal overdose, Narcotics Vice Squad detectives said.
Police said Arturo Gutierrez, 34, of 35th Street, Astoria, was arrested on Hamlet Road at 7:30 p.m. He was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Gutierrez faces arraignment Tuesday in First District Court in Hempstead. It was not clear if he was represented by counsel.
