Nassau detectives are searching for a masked suspect who they said held up a Lynbrook convenience store at gunpoint and left the scene on a scooter Thursday afternoon.

Fifth Squad detectives said an armed man in his 20s, wearing a black ski mask, black hooded sweatshirt and tan pants, entered The Barn at 241 Hempstead Avenue at 1:23 p.m. and demanded money from a clerk.

The clerk complied and the suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash that he took from the register, police said. He steered a Razor scooter southbound on Hempstead Avenue, police said. No injuries were reported.

Detectives ask anyone with information on this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
