Authorities condemned and closed a bar in North Babylon Friday night following community complaints, code violations and four arrests.

Suffolk County police, as well as members of the Town of Babylon’s Code Enforcement Division, conducted a State Liquor Authority Inspection at Nite Cap Bar, 765 Deer Park Ave., at 11:20 p.m., Suffolk police said in a news release.

Four men, including a bartender, were arrested following the inspection, the release stated.

Bartender Stephen Corbin, 61, of North Babylon, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and five counts of disorderly premise, the release stated. The other three men, patrons at the bar, were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said. They will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on March 1.

The town also issued five code violations, police said.

No one picked up the phone at the bar on Saturday morning.
