Nassau police Wednesday identified a man shot dead during a Fourth of July party in North Massapequa as Rashawn Cummings, 21, of Hempstead.

Cummings and two others were shot at the home on West Drive, police said. After the shootings, the two other male victims were taken to a hospital where they were in stable condition, a Nassau police spokesman said Sunday.

Police did not release their ages or identities.

Officers responding to a report of a shooting at about 11:17 p.m. Saturday at the home found the three male victims, police have said. The man later identified as Cummings was pronounced dead at the scene, cops said.

The shooting occurred inside the house and the party broke up before police officers arrived, officials said.

Police have not released additional information, including who fired the gunshots, whether a weapon was recovered, and what may have precipitated the shootings.

Investigators have not announced any arrests in the case.

Detectives urge anyone with information on the shootings to contact Nassau Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or call 911. All calls will remain anonymous, police said.
