Nassau County police said they’re trying to determine whether two daytime burglaries Thursday in North New Hyde Park are related.

The burglaries happened at about 4 p.m. on Evergreen Lane and then at about 4:30 p.m. on Blossom Lane, a police spokesman said.

“They’re most likely related, being that they happened right around the corner from one another,” the spokesman said.

No other details were immediately available, according to police, but neighbors told News 12 Long Island that one of them spotted a suspect running to a car; that neighbor also was able to furnish police with a license plate number.
