Nassau police said they charged a Massapequa Park woman with endangering the welfare of a child on Monday after she overdosed on heroin and was found slumped over the steering  wheel of a vehicle while her 2-month-old daughter sat in the back.

Rhiannon Baker, 29, of Brendan Avenue was arrested shortly after officers responded to the 2:44 p.m. call reporting that a woman was unresponsive while sitting in a car in a shopping center parking lot at 5500 Sunrise Hwy. in Massapequa.

Nassau County Police Ambulance transported Baker to a hospital to be treated and her daughter was released to a relative, police said.

Baker will be arraigned whenever she is medically fit for the procedure, police said.
