New York City police have arrested a Patchogue man in connection with the killing of a Brooklyn man who was stabbed to death in front of his home in the Crown Heights section over the weekend.

Kevin Hall, 22, of Valencia Court in Patchogue, was arrested early Sunday and charged with second-degree murder and fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon after the 6 a.m. killing of Jaiquan Thorne, 21, of Fenimore Street in Brooklyn, police said.

Police said that they responded to the scene at 5:53 a.m. Sunday and found Thorne unconscious and suffering from a stab wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital. It was unclear what prompted the stabbing.

Arraignment information on Hall’s case was unavailable Monday afternoon.
