A Holbrook man was arraigned Tuesday on charges of driving while intoxicated after he hit and killed a pedestrian outside the victim’s Ronkonkoma home, prosecutors said.

Eric Lindemann, 33, of Mill Road, was driving a 2018 Kia south on Ocean Avenue Monday at 11:43 a.m. when he veered off the road and onto the shoulder, striking Amanullah Aman outside his home on Ocean Avenue, Suffolk police said.

Aman, 64, was taken by ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Police said Lindemann had glassy eyes, was unsteady on his feet and had a blood alcohol content of .15, nearly twice the legal limit, according to charging documents.

Lindemann was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip Tuesday and held on $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond.

Dara Martin-Orlando, Lindemann's defense attorney, did not respond to a request for comment.

Lindemann is due back in court on Friday.
