Pedestrian killed in Lynbrook Village auto accident

A pedestrian was struck fatally in Lynbrook village about 9 p.m. Thursday, according to village and Nassau County police, who released few details about the crash as the investigation continued throughout the night.

Both agencies said the crash occurred at the corner of Charles Street and Merrick Road in Lynbrook, and that Nassau homicide detectives were still on the scene shortly before 11 p.m.
