A Wantagh man who flashed a badge at another motorist as they drove on Wantagh Avenue on Thursday faces a charge of criminal impersonation, Nassau County police said.

Peter Brasile, 52 of Cypress Street, yelled for the other driver, a man, 43, to “pull over,” displaying a gold badge in a black wallet, as the two drove south on the road in Wantagh at about 5:30 p.m., police said.

The other driver did pull over, but he also called 911, and officers from the Seventh Precinct responded, police said.

Brasile was arrested on a charge of first-degree criminal impersonation and is scheduled to be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
