Nassau County police have arrested one teen and are still looking for another in the armed robbery and assault of another teenager earlier this month in Massapequa.

The victim, 16, in the Aug. 6 robbery had his iPhone and an undisclosed amount of cash taken after the two suspects, in their midteens and brandishing a handgun, knocked him to the ground near Melrose Avenue and Oakley Street, police said.

The two suspects were recorded in security video from a store where they tried to make purchases earlier, police said. That video was released by police shortly after the robbery.

Police said the suspect who was arrested on a charge of second-degree robbery is 14 years old.

Detectives ask anyone with information to call the Seventh Squad at 516-573-6756. All calls will remain confidential.
