Police: Driver sought in hit-run that left teen pedestrian seriously hurt

Suffolk County police said Tuesday they are looking for the driver of a dark-colored two-door sedan who hit and seriously injured a teen pedestrian in Central Islip.
Police released a photograph of the car that struck a girl, 16, who was walking to school on Cinnamon Street and Cone Avenue at about 6:30 a.m. last Wednesday.
The car could have damage to its front end and windshield, police said.
The driver, described as about 25 to 30 years old, also had a woman passenger in the front seat, police said.
