Police: DWI charge for driver after Ridge crash

A Wading River man was charged with DWI after his vehicle veered off the road and hit a tree late Sunday in Ridge, Suffolk County police said.
Police identified the driver as William Zoumas, 31, of North Country Road, and said he was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead with minor injuries.
The crash occurred on Middle Country Road, a mile east of William Floyd Parkway, at 11:59 p.m.
Arraignment details were not immediately available.
