Police: Elmont man pointed loaded gun at girlfriend’s face
An Elmont man was charged with criminal weapon possession and menacing Tuesday after he pointed a loaded gun at his girlfriend, Nassau County police said.
William Santos, Jr., 34, pointed the black and silver Smith & Wesson handgun at the 29-year-old woman’s face during an argument at about 10:15 p.m. Monday in Searingtown, police said.
The woman fled and notified police, who arrested Santos at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday at his residence on Fallon Avenue, police said.
Santos was awaiting arraignment in First District Court in Hempstead on charges of criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, menacing and criminal mischief, police said.
