Police: Fake IDs used for bank withdrawals

Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Identity Theft Unit detectives are looking for a man who used fake identification to make unauthorized withdrawals from bank accounts in New York City and Suffolk and Nassau counties, police said Tuesday.
Police released photographs of the suspect taken from video surveillance cameras at various banks.
Since January, the man has used fraudulent identification documents in the names of the legitimate account holders to make the withdrawals, according to a news release.
Police did not say how many withdrawals the man made or how much money was taken from the accounts.
Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers, 800-220-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
