Food deliveryman robbed at gunpoint in Roosevelt, police say
A deliveryman for a Chinese restaurant was robbed at gunpoint on a street Tuesday night in Roosevelt, Nassau County police said.
Police said the victim was not injured in the 8:50 p.m. robbery on Margaret Drive, but said the suspects stole cash before fleeing on foot.
Police did not say how much was taken.
The deliveryman, identified only as a 53-year-old male, works for a nearby restaurant, Ting Ho Kitchen, police said.
Police said as he headed toward the delivery location he was approached by two male suspects, one armed with a silver handgun, who demanded money. The victim complied.
Police believe one suspect was in his late teens, the other in his early 20s. Anyone with information regarding the robbery is being asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
