Nassau police on Tuesday identified the woman found slain in an East Norwich apartment as the wife of the man charged with her murder.

Wendy Ginsberg-Ducker, 61, died of a stab wound, police said, and her husband, Warren M. Ducker, 67, is awaiting arraignment at a hospital where he was treated for undisclosed injuries.

Warren Ducker was in the couple’s apartment at the Heatherwood Communities apartment complex on Pine Hollow Road Sunday afternoon when police discovered his wife’s body, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ducker was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was scheduled to have a hospital bedside arraignment Tuesday, police said. He is charged with second-degree murder.
