Police investigate Amityville deli robbery
Detectives are investigating the robbery of a deli Tuesday morning in Amityville.
A man wearing a mask and a hooded sweatshirt entered the Sammy Express Deli on Broadway at 10:20 a.m., “displayed a handgun and demanded cash,” Suffolk County police said.
The clerk handed over the money and the robber fled.
