Selden Citibank robbed, police seek public’s help in probe

Suffolk County police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the bandit who wore a bandanna or scarf over his face while robbing a Citibank in Selden on Tuesday.
According to a police report, the man entered the bank at 684 Middle Country Rd. at about 12:10 p.m., approached a teller and displayed a note demanding cash. The teller complied, giving him an undetermined amount of cash, and the suspect fled west on foot.
The robber is described as between 30 and 40 years old, about 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing a waist-length, dark-colored hooded jacket, a dark knit cap and blue jeans.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the robbery to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555 or call anonymously at 800-220-TIPS.
