A masked man with a knife robbed a Greenlawn sandwich shop Friday afternoon, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash, Suffolk County police said.
At about 1:30 p.m. the man, gray-bearded and about 6-foot-2-inches, entered the Subway store at 97 Broadway, demanding money from an employee, who opened the register and complied, police said.
With a red ski mask covering his face, the man was also attired in “a black and gray hooded sweatshirt with Ecko Unlimited written on the front [and] dark blue pants with white knee pads,” police said.
Second Squad detectives are investigating and would welcome calls with information at 631-854-8252 or to Crime Stoppers, 800-220-TIPS. Calls will remain confidential, police said.
