Police looking for 3 teen suspects in Roosevelt robbery
Three teenagers walking in Roosevelt on Tuesday were beaten and robbed by three young people who had been following them, Nassau police said.
The victims, ages 16, 17 and 18, were going south on Babylon Turnpike when the suspects, including two girls in Roosevelt High School uniforms, started a fight as they neared East Centennial Avenue about 3:40 p.m., police said.
The robbers punched, pushed and held down the victims, snatching their wallets and cellphones before running east on East Centennial, police said.
The victims said the male suspect wore all black clothing, is 18 years old and 130 pounds, police said. The two girls are 16 years old, about 5 feet 4 inches, with one weighing 100 pounds and the other 115 pounds, police said.
