Nassau County police are looking for a man who robbed a bank in Rockville Centre on Friday afternoon.

During the holdup at Capital One on Lincoln Avenue, the robber threatened to use a firearm but never showed one, police said. He took off with cash about 1 p.m., fleeing east into a rear parking lot, police said.

None of the six employees and three customers in the bank was hurt, police said.

The suspect appeared to be 45 to 50 years old, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and about 160 pounds, police said. He wore a dark hat, green, long-sleeved shirt, green pants, round-framed eyeglasses with thick, clear lenses, dark scarf around his neck and dark shoes, police said.

Detectives ask anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
