Police looking for thief who stole handicapped ramp

A thief in a Chevrolet Silverado stole a 20-foot handicapped ramp from an Oceanside home Wednesday morning, Nassau police said.
Surveillance video caught a silver pickup truck leaving the scene and turning around the corner shortly after the aluminum ramp was taken from the driveway of a State Street house between 8:30 a.m. and 8:45 a.m., police said.
The pickup truck took off north on State Street, then turned east onto New York Avenue, police said.
Detectives ask anyone with information to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477.
