Police: Man, 29, shot after men broke into Bellport home
A 29-year-old man was shot in the arm during an armed home invasion-style robbery early Tuesday morning in North Bellport, Suffolk County police said.
The victim was transported by South Country Ambulance to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue for treatment of what were being called non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the man, who lives at the home on Walker Avenue, was shot in the arm. Police said two men, armed with handguns, entered the home at 2:50 a.m., shooting the victim. They then fled without proceeds. The investigation is continuing.
