A surveillance operation nabbed a pair of burglars suspected of committing a rash of recent break-ins in Centereach, Suffolk County police said.

Police said Anthony Messier, 19, of 74 Hunter Lane, Centereach, and Christina Lisa, 20, of 27 Parkhill Drive, Selden, were arrested on Route 25 in Selden at 1:36 p.m. Thursday.

“Numerous items of stolen property were recovered by detectives during the investigation,” police said in a statement. Police said the two were “suspected in multiple residential burglaries” in the area.

Messier and Lisa were each charged with 10 counts of burglary and one count of attempted burglary. It was not immediately clear what led police to suspect the two in the break-ins. Both are scheduled for arraignment Friday in First District Court in Central Islip.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the case to call Sixth Squad detectives at 1-631-854-8652 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
