A Plainview man was arrested and charged with public lewdness after police said he exposed himself to a high school student as she walked to her car last week in Huntington Station.

Suffolk County police said the incident occurred Thursday and said that, following an investigation, Eric Lombardi, 44, was arrested in front of his home on Arthur Place at 8:25 p.m. Sunday.

Lombardi was charged with public lewdness and is scheduled for arraignment Monday in First District Court, Central Islip.

Police said the incident Thursday occurred just after 2 p.m. as the Huntington High School student, whose identity was not released, walked to her car on Holdsworth Drive. As the woman walked along Oakwood Road, headed toward Holdsworth, police said Lombardi pulled up next to her in his red 2007 Ford Explorer.

The student saw Lombardi performing a lewd act, police said, but fled when the student said she was going to call police.
