Suffolk County police renewed their call for help locating the driver of a gray Nissan Maxima who struck and fatally injured a pedestrian two months ago in Bay Shore.

The driver of the Nissan, a 1999 to 2002 model, was going east on Main Street near Brentwood Road about 4:40 p.m. March 5 when the car hit a 82-year-old woman, police said.

Margaret Caldwell of Bay Shore died of her injuries April 7, police said Thursday.

The side-view mirror on the passenger side of the Nissan was found at the scene and might have since been replaced, police said.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477, police said, and they could get a reward of up to $5,000 if the information leads to an arrest.

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story misstated Margaret Caldwell’s age because of incorrect information provided by police.
