Police seek suspect in Hauppauge attempted robbery

Suffolk County police and Crime Stoppers are searching for a man who attempted to rob a Hauppauge meat market in February.

Police said a man in a dark hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans entered Giunta's Meat Farms at 575 Rte. 347 in Hauppauge on Feb. 10 at about 3:25 p.m., pulled out a box cutter and demanded money from a cashier.

The cashier refused, and the man fled from the store on foot, police said.
