An Ulster County man was nabbed Thursday for downloading child pornography, according to State Police at Highland.

Investigators from the State Police Computer Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the Highland home of 51-year-old James F. Pezzo on Thursday afternoon, investigator Rudy Simmons said.

Police seized evidence from the home and said "an analysis of Pezzo's computers revealed that he had several videos of child pornography."

Pezzo was charged with possession of a sexual performance by a child, a felony.

He was arraigned in Lloyd Town Court and released pending his next court date on May 1.

It was not immediately clear if Pezzo has an attorney. Court clerks in Lloyd and Ulster County said they did not have attorney information listed for Pezzo in their files. When contacted Friday, the Ulster County District Attorney's office did not have information on Pezzo.

A message was left on Pezzo's home phone early Friday evening.
