A 31-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a “suspicious” house fire in Floral Park on Friday night, police said.
The woman, whose name was not released, has been charged with second-degree arson and second-degree burglary, Nassau County police said. She does not live in the home.
The fire was reported around 9:45 p.m., police said.
Firefighters responded to 55 Roger Place, a white, two-story home with a detached garage. Floral Park and Nassau County police — including a K-9 unit — also responded.
Part of the home’s exterior on one side was damaged by the fire, authorities said.
