Queens man robbed Bellerose 76 Gas Station, Nassau cops say

A Queens Village man has been arrested and charged with the armed robbery of a Bellerose gas station, Nassau County police said Thursday.
Daniel Dowd 37, of 217th Street, was charged with robbery in the first degree and robbery in the second degree, police said.
He was arrested Wednesday and was awaiting arraignment Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
The 76 Gas Station at 248-02 Jericho Tpke. was robbed at 2:56 a.m. on Nov. 27 by a man who displayed a handgun, police said. There were no injuries.
Police did not say what led them to Dowd.
