A 21-year-old Riverhead woman was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after she crashed into an occupied motor vehicle Wednesday night in Flanders — and a subsequent police investigation determined she was drunk, police said.

Erika J. Ochoa was charged with DWI after her arrest, Southampton Town police said.

She was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, then was released on an appearance ticket, police said.

Police said Ochoa struck a parked vehicle on Flanders Road at 9:12 p.m. The occupant of that parked vehicle also was treated at Peconic Bay Medical Center for undisclosed injuries.
