A large fight took place at Robert Moses State Park Friday afternoon, with ambulances called to the scene for at least one injured person.

New York State Park police, New York State police, Suffolk County police and the Babylon Town Bay Constable, responded to a report of a large fight in progress at the beachfront of the park.

Police officers quickly dispersed the crowd and remained on scene to monitor the situation. Newsday photographs showed a person being taken by stretcher from the beach, but police had no further information.
