Man stabbed in Ronkonkoma, taken to hospital, police say

A man stabbed on Tuesday night in Ronkonkoma was in stable condition at Stony Brook University Hospital, Suffolk County police said.
Police said in a statement that a suspect fled the stabbing at 4343 Expressway Dr. N. after the alleged 8:30 p.m. assault.
The victim, whose name police did not release, was taken to the hospital by Lakeland Fire Department Ambulance, police said.
A police spokeswoman did not identify the suspect or give a reason for the alleged assault.
