Two men assaulted and robbed a pizza deliveryman in Roosevelt on Tuesday, punching him in the face and taking cash, Nassau County police said.

First Squad detectives said two men approached the deliveryman in front of a house on Henry Street at about 12:50 a.m., demanding money.

The two pushed and shoved him against his car, removing an undisclosed amount of cash from his pocket, police said.

The one of the suspects punched the victim in the face.

The deliveryman drove off in his car and the two suspects ran east on Nassau Road, according to a news release.

The deliveryman was not seriously hurt.
