Suffolk County Police are searching for a man and woman who robbed a Huntington Station Bank on Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities say the pair entered Roslyn Savings Bank at 693 Jericho Tpke. at 1:40 p.m., each approaching a different teller and handing over notes demanding cash.

The bank employees complied, police said, and the pair fled on foot, heading north on Longfellow Drive.

Authorities describe the man as between 20 and 25 years old. They say he stands between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10 and has a medium build.

He was wearing a ski hat, scarf, gray hooded-sweatshirt and white pants, police say.

The woman he was traveling with was described as heavyset and between 30 to 35 years old.

Police say she was shorter than 5-foot-3 and was wearing a ski hat, gray hooded-sweatshirt and earmuffs that covered the lower half of her face.

Police do not know anything about the relationship between the two alleged robbers.

They are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
