Nassau County police on Wednesday released surveillance images in last Thursday’s robbery of a bank at a Seaford Stop & Shop, saying an Uber vehicle may have been the getaway car.

The robbery happened about 12:30 p.m. at the Roslyn Savings Bank on Merrick Road while there were three employees but no customers present, police said. No one was injured.

Police said the suspect passed a note to a teller that threatened the use of a knife and he then “made verbal demands for currency.”

The teller complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and shortly afterward waited at the corner of Waverly Avenue and Southard Avenue until he was picked up by someone driving a four-door silver Infiniti G37, police said. Police added the car was possibly an Uber vehicle.

Police said the car went south on Southard Avenue.

The suspect was described as in his 30s, 5-foot-8 and with a medium build and a reddish-brown beard. He was wearing sunglasses, a hooded sweatshirt, a dark jacket and gray pants.

Police asked anyone with any information about the robbery to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All calls will remain anonymous and a reward of up to $5,000 may be offered.
