A Franklin Square man faces sexual abuse charges after he, allegedly, inappropriately touched an 11-year-old girl inside a store at Roosevelt Field mall on Tuesday, Nassau police said.
Around 5:54 p.m., Riken Acharya, 21, was in the Sephora store when the incident took place. Acharya then left the store, police said.
Officers later found Acharya outside the mall and placed him under arrest without incident, police said.
Acharya is charged with first-degree sexual abuse, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, police said.
A temporary order of protection was issued at his arraignment Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead, where bail was set for $50,000 cash, $100,000 insured bond or $250,000 partially secured bond.
