Suffolk County police are investigating the death of a Suffolk teen who crashed a car Saturday afternoon and was later found to be shot.

Carlos Guillen, 19, was driving an Acura east on Francisco Avenue when the vehicle struck a parked trailer and fence at the intersection with Lurcott Lane in Central Islip at about 12:30 p.m., police said in a news release.

Guillen, of Bay Shore, was taken to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore and doctors there discovered he had a bullet wound. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

It’s unclear where he was shot but police are investigating. Police ask anyone with information to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6394 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
