Police ID Jorge Vazquez, of Florida, as man shot dead near Extended Stay America hotel in Bethpage
Nassau County police are investigating the shooting death of a Tampa, Florida, man whose body was found near a Bethpage hotel with a gunshot wound on Wednesday.
Around 9:41 p.m., officers responded to a report of a man shot near the Extended Stay America hotel on South Oyster Bay Road, where they found the injured Jorge Vazquez, 35.
Police did not specify where Vazquez was found. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
