Brentwood boy, 13, shot in front yard of home on Pheasant Circle

A 13-year-old boy was shot in his front yard in Brentwood Saturday evening, Suffolk police said.
The shooting, which is being investigated by Third Squad detectives, occurred on Pheasant Circle at about 6:44 p.m., according to police.
The boy was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. No other details were immediately available.
